Liposuction is:
Liposuction is a surgery to remove unwanted body fat to help reduce the size of, and contour, certain areas of the body. Liposuction is usually perform at the thigh, abdomen, buttock, hip and chin.

Liposuction is not an answer to obesity, but it can permanently remove unwanted fat cells and help for body contouring. Liposuction cannot remove cellulite.
The surgery:
Liposuction can be done under a local or general anesthesia. There are saveral liposuction techniques, depending on individual wanted:
- Wet liposuction - A mixture of fluids salty solution, local anesthetic and adrenaline is injected into the area before fat is removed. This helps to reduce swelling and any excessive bleeding, and makes it easier to remove the fatty tissue. An incision (there may be more than one for a larger area) is made and a tube inserted which is moved around to break up the fat before sucking it out by vacuum. The incision is closed with sutures.
- Dry liposuction - Similar to wet liposuction but doesn't involve an injection prior to suction.
- Ultrasound liposuction - Using ultrasound waves to break up firmer or more stubborn areas of fat before removal.
Risks of liposuction:
The risks of liposuction are infection, blood clotting, bleeding, scarring, numbness, nerve damage, fluid build-up and loose skin.
Recovery from liposuction:
There will be bruising and swelling after liposuction surgery, but it will subside after a few days; you will need to wear an elastic garments for a few weeks to support the operation area and help for body contouring. Dissolvable sutures will be dissolved after 7-10 days. Strenuous exercise should be avoided for a few weeks and you should off from work about two weeks. The new, completed appearance may take several months to become fully visible.
