Breast uplift surgery ( also known as mastopexy) is a surgery for helping the breast and nipple to appear perkier and got higher.

The Surgery:
Breast uplift (mastopexy) surgery can be done without changing the size of the breasts; however some women choose to have an enlargement at the same time as the breast uplift. As there are several options for surgery, they all result in the removal of excess skin and reshaping of the breast, sometimes lifting the areola to higher position. The breast uplift surgery will be undergone under a general anesthesia (although this may vary depending on the individual). Incisions are made around the areola, to the sides and along the crease underneath the breast to remove fatty tissue. The incisions are closed below the areola to create the breast uplift.
Risks of the breast uplift surgery:
Some patients may experience from a loss of feeling in the nipples and/or breasts. Other risks including bleeding, scarring, asymmetrical nipples problem and blood clotting.
Recovery form the breast uplift surgery:
You may be required to stay overnight in hospital. Taking about two weeks off work and avoid strenuous exercise for six weeks. Youl need support your breast by wearing a sports bra or similar. There will be some bruising and swelling for a few weeks to settle and sutures will be removed approximately one to two weeks after the breast uplift surgery, if needed.
